AMAZING first nights in the local league matches for our Spikers men, mixed and junior teams.... Already the scoreboard is looking good! Congratulations guys and all the best for the coming matches!

It's almost October and as the new Volleyball Season kicks off this weekend, Spikers have a great week ahead of us.
 
On Friday our Spikers Mens 1st Team will be playing their first ever Local League Fixtures- taking on both Spikers Juniors league team and Great Yarmouth and Gorleston Men on training court 2, Haydn Morris from 7pm. As their Local league debut the more people to come along and cheer them on the better so please pop down to Sportspark on Friday night to give them a cheer if you're around. It looks set to be a great start to the season with all the Men playing brilliantly at the moment and possibly a night out afterwards to celebrate their success too. Good Luck Guys!!!

Also playing local league this year we once again have a number of Spikers Juniors teams. Coached by Tomasz, our juniors always do well so as always, please come down and cheer them on too. This Friday they will also be playing GYGVC and Spikers Men so we wish them luck also.

This weekend also sees UEA Sportspark hosting the Nofolk Volleyball Association 4v4 Season opener tournament. With matches starting from 10am on Saturday running until 5pm this is a brilliant day, packed with volleyball action. 16 teams are entered this year including 6 Spikers teams (Adults and Juniors) and teams from Medusa, UEA, Priory, Pegasus, GYGVC and more. The tournament consists of a shield competition and cup competition and is always great to watch. Good Luck to all teams involved!

This Wednesday training will be on as usual;
7-8.30pm Open beginners session with Tomasz
8.40-10.20pm Mens team training and womens height training, members only sessions. Ann-Marie and Sarah Jane are back this week to take the sessions.
All in Haydn Morris Hall, UEA Sportspark. (NB The latter two sessions are invite only but please
come along to our open session and people are often invited to join the later
session as they progress.)

Hi Everyone, Just two quick reminders-

Firstly if you are planning on joining Spikers, please bring your membership money in asap- Membership for the year is £20 and sessions thereafter only £3 for members or £4 for non members- remember only members can join the local league teams so if your planning on being part of a team you need . Membership forms are available at training tonight or via the website link on the About Spikers tab.

Second reminder- we have our first social of the year on THIS FRIDAY. Should be a chance for everyone to get together and just have a good time.  We'll be starting at the murderers pub in Norwich, (just off Timber Hill) where there's a good selection of drinks and then will see where the night takes . It would be great to see as many people as possible so please do come along- we'll all be there from around 7.30pm. Hope to see you there!

Indoor training sessions start again this week. Over 17's will be starting from
  7pm tomorrow and the junior sessions will be starting this Saturday 8th
  September.
